With 40 years of experience in architecture, planning, graphic design and program management, Edward Estes served as an architectural and urban designer providing urban design coordination and planning for various neighborhood and redevelopment projects for the Office of Planning in Washington, DC.. Prior to joining the Office of Planning, Edward embarked on a very exciting architecture career. Edwards’ involvement in large scale projects located throughout the United States has developed his strength in architectural design management and urban planning. Edwards’ design experience placed him on a variety of projects including stadiums, mixed-use developments, corporate office buildings and headquarters, government and judicial centers, mass-transit stations, entertainment venues and retail malls and power centers.

Edward also has broad experience in other architectural services. He established additional professional design capabilities with his experience in program management, interior space planning, architectural illustrations, graphic and web design. Most recently, Edward has held the position as Planner Coordinator in Prince George’s County, Maryland, providing urban design project coordination for various mixed-use, office, retail, and transit oriented developments proposed for Prince George’s County.

Edward holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Hampton University. He is the Founder and former Executive Director of the Hampton University Architecture Alumni Association.
